A 90 m² detached cottage next to our renovated farmhouse. Between fields, meadows and farms. In the green with lots of peace and privacy. Just outside the Gelderland cycling village of Laren in the Achterhoek. Relax on the terrace, in the grass with various seats, hammock, deck chairs, picnic table, fruit trees, flowers, birds, sheep pasture and free-range chickens, squirrels and you might even spot some deer in the garden. The cottage has a large room with open, fully equipped kitchen (with fridge-freezer, microwave, 4 burner stove, dishwasher, nespresso and kettle), a bedroom with adjustable Auping bed and view of the terrace and garden, small bathroom with shower, sink and toilet and a utility room. The room is tastefully decorated with a 2 seater sofa, nice chair, hanging chair, table with 4 dining chairs, an extra 1 person bed/ sofa, TV with all channels, Chromecast and Wifi. We do not serve breakfast. Bed linen and towels included.
Nature and surroundings
The cottage is located in a beautiful coulisse landscape, where hikers and cyclists can fully enjoy. In the vicinity are many hiking, cycling and mountain biking routes. Along the cottage run 2 hiking trails and you walk in half an hour to a stage of the Pieter path, route Holten - Laren - Vorden. In the village starts "Laorns Enkenpad" (klompenpad) a trail of 15 km through fields, meadows, over and along old and new estates. Within walking distance is the estate and Huis Verwolde, where you can make beautiful walks in the woods and visit the house (free with a museum card). Nearby are the Hanseatic cities of Deventer and Zutphen and the nice town of Lochem. In Laren there are 2 restaurants, a snack bar, supermarket Plus and Marskramer, a delicious bakery, butcher, drugstore and some other stores. The bus stop is in the Dorpsstraat, 2 km walk from the cottage. We rent electric bikes per day and in the cottage there is a lot of information about the area as well as cycling and walking maps.
