In the middle of the forest is our modern cottage "Pheasant". The house has 4 bedrooms, a spacious living room with large windows and patio doors to the terrace and a beautiful forest garden of over 800m2 with lots of privacy. At the house is ample space to park 2-3 cars. The house is fully equipped: the kitchen is equipped with dishwasher, microwave and lots of cooking utensils. There is also an outdoor barbecue. Both inside and outside we have a large dining table for 8 people. The bathroom has a bathtub and shower and the upstairs bedrooms have their own sink. WiFi and cable television are available. The house is located on a quiet vacation park against the village Oudemirdum. In the park are playgrounds for children with swings, table tennis and climbing frames. In a few minutes walk you are in the village Oudemirdum, where you will find a bicycle rental, supermarket, bakery and several restaurants.

The Fonteinbos is located in the middle of beautiful Gaasterland in the southwest corner of Friesland. Gaasterland is characterized by a beautiful rolling landscape and a nice variety of dense forests, beautiful vistas and fantastic views (and beach) along the IJsselmeer. In less than 10 minutes you can be on the beach at the Hege Gerzen or in less than 15 minutes at the Mirnser Klif - both places have a nice sandy beach where the water remains shallow for a long time (perfect for learning to surf or supper or just swim!) with nice restaurants for a drink, ice cream or something to eat. In the area you can make beautiful cycling or walking tours - Eleven-city towns like Workum, Stavoren or Hindeloopen are easily accessible and worth a visit. There is also plenty to do for other sporting or relaxing activities!
