The entrance gate, flanked by two eagles, welcomes you to the estate. This nature-themed cottage is surrounded by woods, a small river, a lake, and rolling green hills. Discover the great outdoors on over 15 hectares of private land. Under the canopy of the large barn, the outdoor chairs are already waiting for you. Inside, you’ll find 3 sleeping areas with comfortable box-spring beds (180x200 and 90x200). There is one bedroom, a bathroom with a shower and toilet, and a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, washing machine, oven, refrigerator/freezer, microwave, ceramic cooktop, electric kettle, and filter coffee maker. There is also a spacious living room with a sitting and dining area. There are two gites on the estate. In July/August, as well as during Christmas and New Year’s, both gites are rented out; the rest of the year, only one gite is occupied at a time. This ensures you have optimal privacy. Starting in August 2025, a delightful Finnish sauna will be available in the rustic old horse stable dating from 1646. Use of the sauna costs 75 euros per week.

Get out there and explore the great outdoors. A roe deer, a buzzard, and a sky full of swallows. This year we saw a badger, a grass snake, a pine marten, and many species of birds and butterflies. Be sure to bring long pants and boots—the estate is a nature reserve, and there aren’t trails everywhere. FROM MID-JULY TO MID-AUGUST, WE ORGANIZE FREE TOURS TO SPOT BADGERS AND BATS. Because the estate is a nature reserve, it looks different every time. In May and June, the grass is tall, and in August, it’s yellow and dry. The grass is mowed every year. In the short grass, you’ll see deer roaming, and you can walk down to the small lake and the Vire River. In the summer, blackberries are everywhere. They’re perfect for making jam. Pick up some oysters at the market and pair them with an edible flower from the estate, such as mallow. In the evening, light the fire pit and gaze at thousands of stars. The surrounding area is perfect for walking and biking. The bakery and supermarket are 3 km away. The D-Day beaches and Granville are a 1-hour drive away.
