In and around the cozy village of Swolgen are several hiking and biking trails. If you step outside you stand right on the edge of the forest. The Reindersmeer is very close. This beautiful lake is part of the national park the Maasduinen and was elected as the most beautiful lake of the Netherlands in 2020. Also the Hertog Jan brewery is nearby and worth a visit. Toverland, strawberry land and "het huis op de kop" are nice day trips. The municipality of Horst aan de Maas has many beautiful places to admire and all just in our little country .
