What a beautiful house! Peace and space, views.

Wat een mooi huis! Rust en ruimte, uitzicht.

We had the whole house with our family. Children had a great time. Departments are neat and clean. Environment (estate) is beautiful and offers plenty of space and tranquility. Hostess lives on the estate and is very friendly and gives tips where needed. This location is highly recommended if you like peace and quiet and space.

Wij hadden met ons gezin het hele huis. Kinderen hebben zich prima vermaakt. Vertrekken zijn netjes en schoon. Omgeving (landgoed) is prachtig en biedt veel ruimte en rust. Gastvrouw woont op het landgoed en is erg vriendelijk en geeft daar waar nodig tips. Deze locatie is zeker een aanrader als je van rust en ruimte houdt.

Environment is really typical what you expect from Normandy. Narrow winding roads which makes it nice and fun to ride in the area if you know the crowds in the Netherlands. Cycling without pedal assistance is a challenge or you have to like cycling. About a 15-minute drive away you are in Honfleur. This is an old and cozy town where you can eat and drink.

Omgeving is echt typisch wat je van Normandië verwacht. Smalle kronkelende wegen wat het mooi en leuk maakt om in de omgeving te rijden als je de drukte in Nederland kent. Fietsen zonder trapondersteuning is een uitdaging of je moet van wielrennen houden. Ongeveer 15 minuten rijden ben je in Honfleur. Dit is een oud en gezellige stadje waar je heerlijk kunt eten en drinken.

The cottage was very clean, which we greatly appreciated. When we arrived, the beds were made and the towels were ready. The hostess, who also lives on the property, is always ready with tips for excursions or good restaurants in the area. She is super friendly and especially wants you to feel completely at ease as a guest. The only downside is that all the rooms are separately accessible from the outside so you can't just walk from one room to another. Also the kitchen is only accessible from outside. But you get used to that after a few days. In the kitchen everything is available, although it is rather small for five people to eat inside. That was no problem for us because we had beautiful weather and could eat outside on the terrace every day. In short, lovely house in a beautiful garden where you can relax after a day of trips!

Het huisje was erg proper, wat we ten zeerste op prijs stellen. Bij het toekomen waren de bedden gedekt en de handdoeken lagen klaar. De gastvrouw, die ook op het domein woont, staat steeds klaar met tips voor uitstappen of goede restaurants in de omgeving. Ze is supervriendelijk en wil vooral dat je je als gast helemaal op je gemak voelt. Zo kregen we verschillende folders en een wandelkaart in bruikleen zodat onze vakantie meteen kon beginnen!
Enige minpunt is dat alle kamers afzonderlijk van buiten bereikbaar zijn en je dus niet zomaar van de ene kamer in de andere kan lopen. Ook de keuken is enkel van buiten toegankelijk. Maar dat ben je na enkele dagen wel gewoon. In de keuken is alles voorhanden, al is het er wel nogal klein om met vijf binnen te eten. Dat was voor ons geen probleem, want wij hadden prachtig weer en konden elke dag buiten op het terras eten.
Kortom, heerlijk huis in een prachtige tuin waar je na een dag van uitstapjes zalig tot rust kan komen!

It was wonderfully quiet, all you could hear were the birds chirping, bees buzzing and sheep bleating.

Het was er heerlijk rustig, je hoorde enkel de vogels fluiten, bijen zoemen en schapen blaten.
