This Gîte is located in the small hamlet of 'Le Magor' on the southern edge of the Parc naturel régional dArmorique in Finistère. Le Magor was built on the site of fortifications that predate the 15th century. Some remnants of these can still be found on the grounds. Because of its high location on a hill, we enjoy a fantastic view of the Monts dArrée and you can see the chapel of Saint Herbot. The gîte is a cozy, self-catering cottage adjacent to a Breton longhouse. The nature house has been renovated in keeping with the historical and natural environment and equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Downstairs is the living room, open kitchen and the bathroom with bathtub. From the living room patio doors give access to a terrace and the backyard. Your car can be parked directly in front of the cottage. The second floor, under the sloping roof, is an open space with two sleeping areas on either side of the stairs.
Nature and surroundings
From the backyard, guests have direct access to the owners' adjacent property (approx. 5ha). This gently sloping land consists of grassland, hedges and woodland and you are more than welcome to walk, relax and enjoy the views. Its central location makes Le Magor a perfect base from which to explore much of Brittany. The North, South and West coasts can all be reached within an hour and each has its own character. Nature, peace & environment:What a nice little house this is! Nice and cozy. Decorated with attention and care. And so welcoming! Located in a very small hamlet. There is a lot of outdoor space, both in the sun and in the shade. And how quiet it is! Lovely to hear a tawny owl in the evening or at night. And when the evening is dark, you can see a fantastic starry sky. And then the location! Ideal if you want to discover all of western Brittany: lovely walks around the cottage and in the forest of Huelgoat; or to the Crozon peninsula (west coast), Aber Wrac'h (the north coast), Concarneau and the beach of Raguenez (the south coast), the menhirs of Carnac, the town of Quimper with a beautiful medieval core, etc. We enjoyed it very much!
