The Gîte is a beautifully renovated detached house in a quiet village with great views of the countryside from the balcony. For our guests we offer maximum flexibility, choice and privacy. Maximum occupancy is 2 adults. Free secure parking, lockable space under the cottage for motorcycle or bikes, a lovely private garden with plenty of flowers, comfortable outdoor furniture for relaxing and dining. Spacious and characterful accommodation with a large open plan living/dining/kitchen area, 1 bedroom with 2 twin beds and a bedroom with 1 large bed, shower room with toilet and a separate toilet. You have a well-equipped kitchen with everything you need for your self-catering stay. Linen and towels are included in the rental price. Guests love the rural location for its peace and quiet, but also appreciate the fact that towns with all necessary facilities are a short drive away.
Nature and surroundings
The Gîte is located on the border of the Limousin and the Centre Val de Loire in the small village of Vijon. We are surrounded by countryside and from the south-facing balcony guests can enjoy 180° views of the trees and fields beyond. It is a great place for birdwatching and stargazing with pristine night skies - we even provide binoculars and a telescope. The area around Vijon is ideal for walking and cycling with quiet country roads and very little traffic. There are many lakes nearby, including Sidiailles where guests can enjoy water sports and zip lines, as well as hiking and tree climbing. Within an hour is the Brenne Regional Natural Park with an exceptional natural heritage. The Berry province area covers the departments of Indre and Cher in the heart of France and has much to discover - castles, museums, history, nature to name a few - come discover more.

This nature house truly lives up to its name. The house is exceptionally cozy, thoughtfully decorated, and equipped with everything you need for a relaxing stay. You’ll feel the warmth and hospitality right away. Annemieke and Joost have turned this place into a warm paradise, perfectly reflecting who they are. They live nearby and are always happy to have a nice chat or lend a hand when needed, yet they remain discreet and never intrusive. If you’re missing anything or have a question, just ask. We spent a fantastic week there and look back on our stay with great fondness.
