Our cottage is the former bread oven of our old farm. Downstairs, there’s a nice kitchenette and a very cozy wood stove. The shower is located in the living area right next to the wood stove (nice and warm!). The first floor is accessible via a folding ladder (homemade), where you’ll find a double bed. The toilet is uniquely installed in the original hearth of the bread oven, so you’ll need to step outside to use it. The cottage has its own garden to ensure your privacy. Enjoy a cozy breakfast under the fig tree in the morning!!
Nature and surroundings
Our B&B is centrally located in the department of “La Manche” in the village of Gathemo. A green and peaceful setting in Normandy. Absolute silence and tranquility are guaranteed here! The only sounds you’ll hear here are the birds, our animals, and the babbling brook that runs through our property. We’re also an ideal starting point for hikes along sunken roads and for visiting various tourist highlights, such as Mont-Saint-Michel, the D-Day landing beaches, Lac de la Dathée, the Mortain waterfalls, Granville, Cancale, Saint-Malo, the Cotentin Peninsula, the Channel Islands, … Breakfast and dinner can also be provided upon request. Breakfast is delivered to your cottage in a basket. Dinner is served in the main house as a table d’hôtes meal. We also organize sightseeing tours along the D-Day landing beaches in an original World War II vehicle.

We had a wonderful few days in this beautiful nature house. Fifteen years ago it was a ruin in a messy farmyard, now it is a fine cottage in a beautiful garden.
