Olive Tree Cottages are situated on the east coast of the village of Paleochora Crete. The cottages offer comfortable and relaxing accommodation for your holidays in Crete. Access to the cottages is quite easy. When you arrive at Paleochora, you see on the left side of the road, an old clasic builting 3 floors & the sign for Paleochora Camping . If you follow the east coast that skirts Paleochora's pebble beach, passes the churchyard & campside, then leaves the coastline & you can just, catch a glimpse, of the tilled roofs of the Cottages. They are peeping out, between green Olive Trees on the far side of the river bed & framed by the endless blue vistas of the Libyan sea.! This small complex has enormous character & located between Olive trees to provide maximum shade & privacy. The Cottages have been designed & construct by the owners, Georgia & Thomas, as that is their main business.
Nature and surroundings
The 8 air conditioned Cottages, all in amazingly different shapes & sizes, they are combined perfectly, in marvelous color & form around a pretty little village square, tilled with local stones. All the Cottages have spacious first flour,wooden balconies or terraces, their own patio area & tiny gardens. Each unit has a living area,kitchen,its own shower room with wc. The 8th Cottage include the reception & the owners Cottage. Please dont forget to ask them about their own made biological, home made wine..!! Distances: Paleochora from the Cottages it is 1300 meters & 15 minutes walking. Tavernas start from 10 minutes walking & supermarkets, cafe, bars,shops 15 minutes walking. Chanea Airport it is 78 klm & 70 minutes driving. Heraklion Airport about 3 hours driving by car.

Minuses: accommodation did not meet the description; e.g.: minimal running water from the shower head. kitchen equipment did not meet the description; hardly any pans for cooking; hardly any cutlery; kettle leaking; reported to the owner; they could not find any cause; communication with owner was very difficult in the beginning; she did not offer their own made products. We paid a high price for this, very unfortunate!

Je bent in Griekenland en de maatstaven zijn anders sls in Nerderland. De inrichting is praktisch maar sober. De matras heel hard en de sanitaire voorzieningen zijn net voldoende. Keuken in geschikt km ontbijt te maken. Hele maaltijden bereiden zal een uitdaging zijn.
Het huisje ligt 2 kilometer van het centrum van Paleochora. Je kunt met een prachtige bergwandeling starten vrijwel vanaf de voordeur. De omgeving is heerlijk rustig. Het enige wat je hoort zijn de belletjes van de in de omgeving grazende geiten
