This rural house is a unique accommodation located in a beautiful estate of 3 hectares, surrounded by the San Juan river, which runs under the house, and in the middle of nature, among oak and juniper forests. Although the mill is very isolated, it is only 1 hour from Madrid airport, 30 minutes from Segovia and 15 minutes from medieval villages such as Pedraza and Sepulveda. It consists of 2 independent houses: the main house is a two-storey 19th century water mill. The other house is an old loom with a simple and diaphanous distribution. This rural house has capacity for 10+3 people. The main house consists of 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, an entrance hall, a large kitchen, a living room and a dining room. The annex house serves as a dormitory: it has two bedrooms and two bathrooms, plus a sofa bed in an additional living room. The bed linen and towels are of excellent quality. The kitchen is fully equipped.
Nature and surroundings
This cottage is located on the edge of the natural park Sierra Norte de Guadarrama, at an altitude of 1050 meters. It is surrounded by nature, far from any urban center. There is no air, noise or light pollution. It has an estate of 3 hectares with a great diversity of flora and fauna, thanks to its strategic location next to the San Juan river, which always has plenty of water. The water is of great purity. The farm is quite hilly and you can enjoy walks along the river and high points with wide views of the mountains. FLORA. The area is located in one of the few remaining juniper forests in Europe. Junipers, oaks, ash trees, fruit trees, poplars, etc. Thyme, rosemary, rockrose and an endless series of very interesting plants. In the river: potamogeton (purifying plants) and other plants with medicinal properties. FAUNA: Roe deer, foxes, otters, mink, badgers, wild boars, wolves (rare), crayfish, trout, eagles, vultures and a great variety of birds.
