Day trips avilable from town centre to Dubrovnik/130 kilometres/,Split -roman ruler Dioklecian palace ruins(70 kilometres Airport), Mostar unique oriental spirit,islands Har, Brac, Korcula-Marko Polo's birth's place, Medjugorje,-sanctuary, Plitvice lake's-National Park.Krka's -Nat.Park. All of these islands including Dubrovnik you can vist in a single day by fast speed boat. It start's at 9.00h AM, from Makarska, stops at Hvar, Korcula, Mljetz and Dubrovnik.That is the way to bypass the crowd in Dubrovnik for 40 Euro only.

As it is an old, beautifully renovated house, there are small windows which cannot always be left open because of the heat in summer. This makes the house a bit dark, but otherwise everything is tiptop, 2 bathrooms, well-equipped kitchen, dining area in front of the house with sea view. You can walk down the slope to the sea on a hiking trail, but it takes about 30 minutes. Other hiking trails lead directly from the house up into the very beautiful Biokovo mountains. Fresh figs grow right next to the house. All in all, we liked it very much.
Das Haus besteht aus zwei Wohnungen, eine kleinere, die über die Außenstreppe erreicht wird, und die für 4 Personen, mit 3 Stockwerken, das eigentliche Haus. Da es ein altes, sehr schön renoviertes Haus ist, gibt es kleine Fenster, die man wegen der HItze im Sommer auch nicht immer offen lassen kann. Das macht das Haus etwas dunkel, aber ansonsten ist alles tiptop, 2 Bäder, gut ausgestattete Küche, Essplatz vor dem Haus mit Meerblick. Man kann zum Meer den Hang auf einem Wanderweg hinunterlaufen, das dauert aber ca. 30 min. Weitere Wanderwege führen direkt vom Haus hinauf in das sehr schöne Biokovo-Gebirge. Frische Feigen wachsen direkt am Haus. Insgesamt hat es uns sehr gut gefallen.

The house is a beautifully restored building from the early eighteenth century. The owners have put a lot of work and added personal touches. All the amenities works perfect, the kitchen is well equipped, bathroom and showers excellent. We didn't miss anything.
Situated in old Podgora, up the hill from the new town, 15 - 20 minutes walk. Behind you, the Biokovo nature reserve, with demanding, but excellent hiking trails and paths. From the terrace, the sunset with view of the island of Brac are stunning.
