Nature house in Hambye

Cottage is very tastefully decorated. Was perfectly fine. There is no wifi and no stable coverage of the 3G and 4G network, but I found that to be a plus to be able to deconnect.

Huisje is heel smaakvol ingericht. Was perfect in orde. Er is geen wifi en geen stabiel bereik van het 3G en 4G netwerk, maar dat vond ik juist een pluspunt om te kunnen deconnecteren.

The cottage is completely in the Norman countryside, among the many fields bordered by rows of trees and hedges. You can enjoy the sunrise and sunset in all seasons in the garden, the tub or from under the half-open barn/terrace. You can barely hear the traffic from the nearby regional road, but it's not quiet either: we were in the middle of a concert of birdsong. Blessed!

Het huisje ligt helemaal in het Normandische landschap, tussen de vele velden omzoomd met bomenrijen en hagen. Je kan in alle seizoenen genieten van de zonsopgang en zonsondergang in de tuin, de tobbe of van onder de halfopen schuur/terras. Je hoort het verkeer van de nabijgelegen gewestweg amper, maar stil is het ook niet: we zaten midden in een concert vogelzang. Zalig!

Great house. Tastefully remodeled and furnished. Great couch in front of a first class wood stove: much better than staring at a screen. Spacious (dining) kitchen, equipped with everything you need. Great plumbing. Excellent beds in large bedrooms. Service from the owner was excellent: even a flower at the outside door! In short, a top house in a nice place in any season.

Geweldig huis. Smaakvol verbouwd en ingericht. Geweldige bank voor een eerste klas houtkachel: veel beter dan staren naar een beeldscherm. Ruime (eet)keuken, voorzien van alles wat je nodig hebt. Prima sanitair. Uitstekende bedden in grote slaapkamers. De service van de eigenaar was uitstekend: zelfs een bloemetje bij de buitendeur! Kortom, een tophuis op een fijne plek in ieder jaargetijde.

Lovely place with lots of privacy. Quiet location. Even when it rains it is nice to sit outside under the roof. Fine environment for wandering from the house to discover: unpaved paths, typical "Norman" roads between the bocage. Coast, towns, old abbey nearby. A place to return to.

Heerlijke plek met heel veel privacy. Rustig gelegen. Zelfs als het regent is het fijn buiten zitten onder de overkapping. Fijne omgeving om vanuit huis dwalend te ontdekken: onverharde paden, typische 'Normandische' weggetjes tussen de bocage. Kust, steden, oude abdij in de buurt. Een plek om naar terug te keren.

For longer stays, we would find a washing machine useful

Bij langer verblijf zouden wij een wasmachine handig vinden

Large house with huge garden, complete peace and privacy! Ideally located if you want to discover Normandy. No wifi, TV connection but plenty of games and space to play soccer or relax in the hot tub. Good beds, nice sitting room. In the evening also a nice place to light a fire basket outside and enjoy the peace and the view.

Groot huis met enorme tuin, complete rust en privacy!
Ideaal gelegen als je Normandië wilt ontdekken.
Geen wifi, tv aansluiting maar genoeg spelletjes en ruimte om te voetballen of relaxen in de hottub.
Goede bedden, fijne zitkamer.
's Avonds ook een mooie plek om buiten een vuurkorf aan te steken en van de rust en het uitzicht te genieten.
