La Molina offers many places to relax and enjoy yourself—along the river, in hammocks under old trees, or on the sandy beach. Casita Verde is one of our three uniquely designed vacation homes on our 1.5-hectare organic farm, La Molina. We had sustainability in mind right from the start of construction. Building materials come directly from the property itself, including restored windows and doors, a green roof, and—we’re off-grid. A solar power system and our own well provide us with electricity and water. La Molina is situated directly on a river along the Escarpes del Río Trejo—a truly impressive rock face that serves as a nesting ground for countless birds. We farm the land organically; we have our own composting facilities, grow vegetables, maintain an olive and almond orchard, have gardens next to the houses, and a variety of both very old and young trees. Shade, a gentle breeze, and pleasant nights in the summer, and plenty of light in the winter.
