Nature house in Ronda

Attractive, detached ruralhut with three bedrooms (six people) in a wonderfully secluded, rural location, surrounded by vegetable gardens, fields and Mediterranean forests. The house has all modern conveniences and the decor is warm and cheerful. There is a small, natural garden (without pesticides) with sun loungers next to the safely fenced private pool. The Dutch-Spanish house owners came to live here in 1999 and it was their dream to be as self sufficient as possible. For that purpose they have an ever changing seasonal organic vegetable garden and the rental of the holiday accommodation is an important part of their independence. The electricity supply comes via solar panels, supplemented by connection to the mains. The area around Ronda has the most varied landscapes of Andalusia. You are surrounded by barren, rocky mountains where nothing seems to grow onto rolling, fertile valleys, evergreen Mediterranean forests and landscapes that change color with the seasons.

This ruralhut is located in a small valley, 'vallecillo', and is surrounded by nature. Although it is physically closer to the neighboring village Arriate, it lies within the boundaries of the municipality of Ronda, in a corner of the mountain valley Llano de la Cruz. You can make beautiful walks directly from the house. Ronda is surrounded by the most versatile and overwhelming landscapes with no fewer than three protected nature parks. The Sierra de las Nieves (with its peak 'La Torrecilla' at 1,919 meters altitude), Sierra de Grazalema (which contains 13 'white villages') and Los Alcornocales (cork oak forests). In addition, there are also extensive areas that are not protected nature parks, but have many walking routes, such as the Genal Valley or the Guadiaro Valley, where you can often walk from village to village. These hiking routes vary from easy to difficult.
