Nature house in la Taha - Pitres - Las Alpujarras

This nature house is an ecological house near Pitres on the southern slope of the Sierra Nevada. The property is over 3,000 m² with an orchard and two meadows with olive trees alongside. On the first floor is the lounge and dining area with open kitchen. There is also a bathroom with shower and toilet. The covered outdoor terrace with barbecue is a lovely spot on a hot summer day. On the second floor is the large bedroom with a double bed and a sink and a smaller bedroom with two single beds. The bathroom has a children's bath, WC and sink. From the master bedroom doors open onto the terrace with beautiful views over the valley. Downstairs next to the pool is a cozy bedroom with shower and sink. The pool with its terrace is the centerpiece in summer. Water comes from its own source and electricity comes from solar panels with a silent generator as backup. By using an inverter, the whole house is supplied with 220 volts AC. When you put laundry in the machine, it is a wonderful feeling that the water comes from the source and the energy from the sun!

The region of Las Alpujarras is an eldorado for hikers and nature lovers. Both in the high mountains and in the valleys there are beautiful trips for hikers and cyclists. A number of GR routes run through the area, and the GR7 even runs through Pitres! The nature house is surrounded by farmlands with olives, grapes, orchards, deep valleys and forests. The white villages are still in the authentic style of North African villages. From Malaga airport, Pitres can be reached in just over two hours. The access road to the house is almost a kilometer long, half of which is not asphalted. Nevertheless, no special car is needed for that. You walk to the village in about 20 minutes, by car it is five minutes. La Taha is an amalgamation of seven villages and Pitres is the administrative center. There is a supermarket, bank with cash dispenser, butcher, bakery, bookshop, pharmacy and a 24-hour first aid post. The Mediterranean beaches are an hour's drive away, as is Granada with the Alhambra. Remember to order tickets (long) in advance via the Internet.
