Nature house in Crevant

This lovely house is located in the south of the Indre; a region where there is still little tourism, where the rolling countryside gives you endless views, where during walks through the fields and forests you hardly meet anyone, the land of harmony. The house is located on one hectare of land with beautiful views of the surrounding countryside and is available to the quiet tourist, creative or those looking for a special vacation stay. The house (200 m2) feels spacious yet cozy and is a unique combination of modern and old. It has been completely renovated in a combination of the old original farmhouse and new elements. Large windows in the living room give views of the surrounding countryside and create a bright atmosphere, the living kitchen is more intimate and inward looking. In the garden room you have the feeling of direct connection with the outside. The room has a beautiful view of the rolling landscape and alternately serves as a study and inspiration room.

The nature house is located 800 meters outside the village of Crevant, on a hill, overlooking the surrounding meadows and a single wheat field. The white Charolais cows are never far away. The surrounding area is varied, with meadows bordered by hedges, small lakes (most privately owned), patches of forest, a barn, a farm or a hamlet. Sometimes the landscape is very hilly, other times almost flat, and the views along the way change constantly. The area is good for walking and cycling. Three marked walks (5, 15, 20 kilometers) start in Crevant. The five kilometer walk runs practically past the cottage. There are also several marked car routes through the varied landscape of the Berry region and the area of writer George Sand. Swimming and water sports can be practiced in the Lac d'Éguzon (40 minutes). In Crevant there is a beautiful medieval church (13th century) and in the area there are numerous small and large castles worth visiting. Crevant has a small supermarket, bakery, butcher, pumping station and a café-restaurant. In La Chatre (less than 15 minutes drive) are all the major supermarkets, bookstores, theater, movie house, pharmacy, cafes, restaurants, several stores, patisseries and several bakeries. In the summer months there are several regional markets with their own specialties. The Saturday market in La Chatre is very lively, as is the market in St Aout. Other trips include the Thousand Lakes region, several castles, wineries (Chateaumeillant) and the Dryades golf course with sauna and fitness complex. For larger cities, Bourges and Limoges are easily accessible, both about an hour and a half away.
