We had a wonderful time in a cozy house, fully equipped with all the amenities; we slept soundly—it’s deafeningly quiet there. The welcome was very warm and thoughtful; a delicious quiche was served after our drive. The very kind and attentive hostess has plenty of tips for things to do; for example, we visited a small flea market, saw the nicest little beaches, gathered clams for a spaghetti vongole, enjoyed watching the daring surfers ride the sometimes wild waves, and explored countless outdoor cafes—but, it was September, so it wasn’t too crowded or touristy. In short, highly recommended for anyone who loves the beach, eating clams, and peace and quiet!
