Nature house in La Bournee

This authentic cave house (1824) with opposite party cave with original bread oven (1789) totally surrounded by caves is very unique even for French people! The property has been restored over several years in the rustic French style and romantically decorated with old objects and furniture combined with modern facilities. In the green garden including garden furniture, extra sun chairs, candle lights and barbecue you can bird watch, relax and sunbathe. The cozy kitchen and separate living room with pot-bellied stove and fireplace are so atmospheric that our guests say they enjoy cooking, dining, enjoying, playing and creating beautiful memories here. The compact bathroom includes a shower, sink and toilet. Upstairs is a romantic bedroom for 2 people and downstairs a sofa bed folds out to sleep 2 more. At 10 min drive you can do all your shopping in Doue la Fontaine (bar and restaurants are also there) and you will find the most beautiful zoo (Bioparc) of France. On Monday mornings there is also the weekly market here. Delicious eating out? Recommended at 20 min drive is the restaurant La Route du Sel on the famous river Loire (do make reservations). Walking? If you leave the village is down the road to an old washing place and further up walking a dolmen. From the dolmen you walk straight into the forest Foret de Milly where you can make beautiful walks. Wine lover? You are in the middle of a large wine region with large and many smaller vignobles, where you can taste and buy wine. Of course this is also a beautiful region for cycling with many cycling routes. At 30 min the cities of Angers and Saumur are recommended for sightseeing. Also highly recommended is the medieval fortified town of Chinon at 80km. Brocante lover? On Sundays there are many brocante markets nearby (vide grenier).
