This country cottage is ideal for couples or small families who want to relax and get away from it all. Via a staircase with six steps you enter the hall, the rest of the nature house is one level. There is a spacious kitchen-diner with modern amenities, dining table & 4 chairs. The separate sitting room has 2 comfortable sofas, dvd/cd player & tv screen plus a woodburner. There are 2 bedrooms one has a double bed the other has 2 singles, both have good views, wooden floor, plenty of storage, mirror, chair and radiator. The shower room is between the bedrooms. In the enclosed garden there are flowering shrubs and fruit trees, there is also a corner for barbecuing and you can eat outside. There are beautiful views to the south and west, you can watch birds, enjoy the sunset and gaze at the stars.
Nature and surroundings
There is a lot to see and do in the area if you love nature, historical places, and markets. On the nearby River Lie you can fish, kayak, and there are marked hiking, cycling and horse riding trails alongside the river and into the forest; hiking maps are provided in the cottage. In Plessala there are local shops, a creperie, café and bar, plus a fishing lake and park with mini-golf, boules and tennis courts. Within 20 minutes drive are market towns with a selection of restaurants. La Belle Maison lives up to its name! A very well maintained and very fully equipped gite (there is even a kitchen scale!), fully equipped, decorated in a country style which only adds to the charm of the house. Beautiful garden with a table and chairs, deck chairs and a bbq. Waste is accurately separated and collected. Garbage can be put in the compost bin at the owners. The owners, Penny and Ray, live in the house next door, lovely people, ready to help and advise you, but fully respect your privacy. In short, a great place to relax and enjoy the surroundings. Well-stocked supermarket (with a ge-wel-di-ge butcher!!!) and excellent bakery in Plessala itself. Surrender to the pace of the area and enjoy. You can't do anything else there, so that's easy.... There is a lot of information and maps available about the immediate area.
La Belle Maison doet haar naam eer aan! Een zeer goed onderhouden en zeer compleet ingerichte gite (er is zelfs een keukenweegschaal!), van alle gemakken voorzien, ingericht in een landelijke stijl hetgeen de charme van het huis alleen maar vergroot. Prachtige tuin met een tafel en stoelen, ligstoelen en een bbq.
Afval wordt nauwkeurig gescheiden en opgehaald. GFT kan in de compostbak bij de eigenaren. Alleen het glas moet je zelf wegbrengen.
Overigens de eigenaren, Penny en Ray, wonen in het huis ernaast, schatten van mensen, staan met raad en daad voor je klaar, maar respecteren je privacy volledig.
Kortom, een fantastische plek om heerlijk bij te tanken en te genieten van de omgeving. Goed gesorteerde supermarkt (met een ge-wel-di-ge slager!!!) en prima bakker in Plessala zelf. Geef je over aan het tempo van de streek en geniet. Je kan niet anders daar, dus dat is makkelijk....
