This nature house is an eco-friendly lodging in the De Merode nature reserve in Flemish Brabant (Belgium), about an hour’s drive south of Eindhoven. Our inn is a charmingly renovated farmhouse with two guest accommodations and a shared kitchen and living room. The inn is situated on a one-hectare private property, close to the beautiful Averbode Bos & Heide nature reserve. From the inn, you can look out over our own gardens and the surrounding farmland. It’s a particularly peaceful spot, surrounded by nature. We’ve renovated the farmhouse using natural and eco-friendly materials, creating a warm, soothing atmosphere. Many of our guests tell us that they sleep remarkably well and deeply here. Ecoase is a nonprofit organization. To stay here, you must become a guest member (with no obligations) for €2.50 per year. Nature and surroundings
§This cottage is nestled among the fields, surrounded by peace and greenery. From our yard, you can walk right into a small wooded area, and the beautiful Averbode Bos & Heide nature reserve is less than a five-minute drive away, where you can enjoy wonderful walks and bike rides. Here you’ll also find the famous Averbode Abbey, a centuries-old, still-active abbey and historic pilgrimage site where people come from far and wide to find peace and reflection. On our property, you’ll find a cozy fire pit, a vegetable garden, a forest circle, and two Tiny houses. You can also enjoy our hot tub upon request. We’re currently building an eco-friendly workshop space, where various activities and workshops will take place in the future.

Free cancellation within 7 days of your booking confirmation, provided the booking request was made more than 28 days before the start date. For bookings starting within 28 days, free cancellation applies within 24 hours. If you cancel within the specified period, you are entitled to a full refund of the booking amount.
After that, you will receive a partial refund of the trip cost and a 100% refund of the deposit:
• Up to 42 days before arrival: 70% refund
• 42–28 days before arrival: 40% refund
• 28 days through the day of arrival: 10% refund
• On the day of arrival or later: no refund
- Out of respect for nature: silence between 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM.
- Minimum age of main booker: 18 years.
- Smoking is not allowed in this nature house.
- No fireworks are allowed at this Nature House.
- No parties or events are allowed.
- This nature house is not suitable for groups of young people, students and sports teams.
- Waste separation is mandatory in this nature house.
