The Garden Room is a bright double room with a view of the garden at Guesthouse Polderlicht in Uitkerke, near Blankenberge. You’ll sleep in a high-quality Auping box-spring bed with two separate mattresses, each 210 cm long. The room features a desk, a television, and Wi-Fi. Your private bathroom with a shower is located outside the bedroom, right next to it, and is exclusively for guests of the Garden Room. The room is on the upper floor and is accessible via the stairs. You’ll share the garden, guest kitchen, and living area with the other guests. Hostess Carine lives on-site. You can book a room for up to two people. Breakfast is not included; you can prepare your own breakfast in the shared guest kitchen. Parking is free. Check-in is from 12:00 PM, and check-out is by 11:00 AM. Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed. The infrared sauna is optional for guests and can be reserved separately for an additional fee.
Nature and surroundings
Polderlicht is nestled among the fields in the Uitkerkse Polder, near the Belgian coast. Surrounding the house is a shared polder garden spanning 7,000 m² where you can sit outside and enjoy the scenery. You’ll be staying at a small-scale property with three guest rooms. The surrounding area is perfect for walks and bike rides through the open polder landscape. The Uitkerkse Polder is a great spot for birdwatching. For a day at the beach, you can head to Blankenberge or Zeebrugge. Bruges is also a great option for a day trip, with its historic streets, museums, and restaurants. You’ll find shops and restaurants in the surrounding coastal towns. After a day out, you’ll return to the house and garden. Free bicycles are available for guests, subject to availability. Carine will be happy to give you practical tips for your stay.

Free cancellation within 7 days of your booking confirmation, provided the booking request was made more than 28 days before the start date. For bookings starting within 28 days, free cancellation applies within 24 hours. If you cancel within the specified period, you are entitled to a full refund of the booking amount.
After that, you will receive a partial refund of the trip cost and a 100% refund of the deposit:
• Up to 42 days before arrival: 70% refund
• 42–28 days before arrival: 40% refund
• 28 days through the day of arrival: 10% refund
• On the day of arrival or later: no refund
