Our house is located in the far south of the “Parc Naturel Régional du Morvan” in the hamlet of Champrobert, part of the municipality of Larochemillay. It is a former cowshed with a barn (built in the mid-19th century) that we have transformed into two contemporary homes. The other houses in Champrobert were mostly built around 1900 as residences after the marble quarry (which dates back to Roman times) was put back into operation. These houses served as housing for the quarry workers. Currently, only 8–10 people live permanently in Champrobert, while the entire municipality of Larochemillay has a population of just 300. In addition to the peace and comfort of the house, you’ll especially enjoy the breathtaking view of the rolling landscape. You’ll have access to a spacious living room (approx. 40 m²), a kitchen-diner, two spacious bedrooms, a fully equipped bathroom (with bathtub, shower, and toilet), and a very large south-facing terrace.
Nature and surroundings
The Morvan is a vast nature park in southern Burgundy. It is characterized by a hilly landscape with many deciduous and pine forests crisscrossed by numerous streams and small(er) rivers. The virtually untouched natural beauty is breathtaking, with numerous hiking and horseback riding trails, and cyclists can also enjoy themselves on one of the many small (but hilly!) paved roads. For those seeking peace and quiet and nature lovers, it’s a true paradise—far from the big city and the hustle and bustle of tourism! An area where the night is still truly dark and where, on a cloudless evening, you can enjoy a sparkling starry sky. Shopping options are available in Luzy (about 15 km away), and the surrounding area offers a variety of restaurants for a delicious, hearty meal.

Free cancellation within 7 days of your booking confirmation, provided the booking request was made more than 28 days before the start date. For bookings starting within 28 days, free cancellation applies within 24 hours. If you cancel within the specified period, you are entitled to a full refund of the booking amount.
After that, you will receive a partial refund of the trip cost and a 100% refund of the deposit:
• Up to 42 days before arrival: 70% refund
• 42–28 days before arrival: 40% refund
• 28 days through the day of arrival: 10% refund
• On the day of arrival or later: no refund
A deposit of €250.00 applies. You will be refunded after check-out.
