Welcome to Boshuis Eekie! This detached nature house is tucked away among the trees on its own wooded lot of nearly 1,800 m², with an unobstructed view of the Achterhoek’s coulisse landscape. The bungalow has a warm, authentic atmosphere. It’s not a minimalist design, but a comfortable home with character. Large windows connect the indoors with the outdoors. There’s a cozy, spacious living room with a lovely wood stove, and a slightly dated but very neat kitchen equipped with a dishwasher, oven, microwave, refrigerator, Nespresso machine, and drip coffee maker. The bathroom has a shower, and there are two bedrooms that can accommodate up to four people. Outside, you’ll find several seating areas: a lounge set, recliners with a view of the meadows, and a covered seating area. Whether you want to cook a nice meal, read a book, explore nature, or simply do nothing at all: at Eekie, it’s all about enjoying yourself.
Nature and surroundings
Boshuis Eekie is located in the heart of the forest, in the beautiful Achterhoek’s bocage landscape. Here, forests, meadows, hedgerows, and the occasional dirt road alternate. Discover the many nature reserves, including the Lochemse Berg, the Kale Berg, and the Steltkampsveld. There are plenty of hiking, biking, and mountain biking trails. Our 3 bikes are available for free use (MTB, electric, and women’s bike). On the Berkel River, you can go canoeing, stand-up paddleboarding, or boating. There are also golf courses and indoor/outdoor swimming pools in the area. For culture, visit Museum MORE in Ruurlo, Ampsen Castle, the estates around Vorden, or go shopping in a Hanseatic town such as Lochem, Zutphen, or Deventer. There are countless great restaurants and cozy outdoor cafes nearby. But perhaps the best part is that you don’t have to go anywhere. Listen to the tawny owl, spot roe deer, and enjoy watching the squirrels. Have your morning coffee at the edge of the forest and admire the starry sky in the evening. Free cancellation within 7 days of your booking confirmation, provided the booking request was made more than 28 days before the start date. For bookings starting within 28 days, free cancellation applies within 24 hours. If you cancel within the specified period, you are entitled to a full refund of the booking amount.
After that, you will receive a partial refund of the trip cost and a 100% refund of the deposit:
• Up to 42 days before arrival: 70% refund
• 42–28 days before arrival: 40% refund
• 28 days through the day of arrival: 10% refund
• On the day of arrival or later: no refund
A deposit of €250.00 applies. You will be refunded after check-out.
