This nature house is a charming home in Scheldevallei National Park, near the center of Bornem. Enjoy peace, nature, and open space in the fenced-in private garden. The cottage accommodates 8 guests in 3 bedrooms, with 3 bathrooms, a cozy living room with a wood stove, and a fully equipped kitchen. Ideal for large families or groups of family and friends, with hiking and biking trails right outside the door and cultural heritage sites, fine dining, and the Scheldt River nearby. The nature house has 3 bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. The bedrooms are air-conditioned. Towels, shampoo, conditioner, and soap are included, as is bedding. Bedroom 1 on the ground floor: 2 single beds (twin room). The spacious bathroom has a bathtub/shower, toilet, and sink. Bedrooms 2 and 3 on the first floor each have 3 single beds (twin room with an additional freestanding single bed). The en suite bathrooms each have a shower, toilet, and sink. In the living room, you’ll find a nice selection of board games.
Nature and surroundings
The nature house has its own free parking. There’s a public charging station within walking distance if you’re arriving by electric car. There are several supermarkets nearby (about a five-minute drive). Just behind the nature house lies the Graafschap van Bornem, the surrounding estate of Bornem Castle, and the Oude Schelde. This estate consists of forests, meadows, and fields, where you can enjoy lovely walks (and spot deer). The shorter walking loops in the Graafschap can be perfectly combined with longer day hikes through the Scheldeland region. Bornem Abbey is located nearby—a beautiful piece of historical heritage. From here, you can set out on the Pedro Coloma trail, a fun family walk of 3 or 8 km, and learn more about the history of Bornem.
