This nature house is a cozy, detached cabin in the woods for 1 to 4 people, with or without a dog. The house is located in a wooded area on the outskirts of Winterswijk. You’ll have a fully fenced-in garden of 1,300 m² with your own little patch of forest, where squirrels, birds, and silence set the pace. Layout: modern living room with a wood stove. Luxury kitchen equipped with a refrigerator, oven, dishwasher, bean-to-cup coffee maker, and milk frother. Bathroom with shower, toilet, and sink. Two bedrooms: one with a double bed (1.40 m wide) and one with a bunk bed. Wi-Fi is available, as are bed linens and kitchen linens. A crib (without bedding) and a high chair are available. Outside, you’ll find a fire pit, a barbecue, and comfortable seating areas in both the sun and the shade. On-site parking is available for 2 cars. If you really want to recharge, head to the special energy spot created on the property.
Nature and surroundings
The vacation home is situated in a quiet location in the beautiful countryside around Winterswijk. Hiking trails start right from the cottage, and a 40-km mountain bike trail runs right past the door. Within a 5-minute walk, you can reach the unique Korenburgerveen nature reserve and the Trimbos. Other beautiful nature reserves, such as the Bekendelle and the Wooldse Veen, are also nearby. History buffs can visit the historic (Scholten) farms and the quarry. Winterswijk is ideal for a peaceful or, conversely, an active walking or cycling vacation. Winterswijk has a charming town center with plenty of shops, restaurants, and outdoor seating, and you can still park for free there. It’s a 5-minute drive or just under 10 minutes by bike.
