Our charming, hilltop detached home in Tovdal offers a unique combination of luxury, tranquility, and space, with spectacular views of mountains, forests, and a lake. The home is stylishly furnished, generously laid out, and perfectly suited for both families with children and couples seeking comfort and nature. You can set out on beautiful hikes right from the house, and of course, there are plenty of trails throughout the surrounding area. Plenty of information about these is available in the house! Inside, you’ll find three comfortable bedrooms, two modern bathrooms—one with a bathtub and the other with a delightful rain shower—a spacious kitchen-diner, and a cozy living room. Outside, you can enjoy a large terrace, a freestanding sauna, and a hot tub with bubbles and a jet stream under the starry sky. The large garden, with several seating areas, offers plenty of space to play and plenty of privacy. A Kamado BBQ has also recently become available! For those seeking luxury, relaxation, and family-friendly comfort—right in the heart of nature.
Nature and surroundings
Our house is located at an elevation of over 200 meters, giving you a beautiful view of the lake. The area around our house is surrounded by beautiful nature. After heavy rain, there are several waterfalls to admire. The various rapids within walking distance are also impressive to watch. The lakes are beautiful, too. We’ve even spotted beavers ourselves, and deer aren’t a rare sight either. Moose are definitely around too, but you’ll need a bit of luck to spot them. You can enjoy this area to the fullest in every season. In the summer, everything is a beautiful green; in the fall, the trees turn the colors of Indian Summer. And in the winter, it’s absolutely stunning when there’s a thick layer of snow on the ground.

Free cancellation within 7 days of your booking confirmation, provided the booking request was made more than 28 days before the start date. For bookings starting within 28 days, free cancellation applies within 24 hours. If you cancel within the specified period, you are entitled to a full refund of the booking amount.
After that, you will receive a partial refund of the trip cost and a 100% refund of the deposit:
• Up to 42 days before arrival: 70% refund
• 42–28 days before arrival: 40% refund
• 28 days through the day of arrival: 10% refund
• On the day of arrival or later: no refund
