Welcome to our vacation home in picturesque Oudega, in the heart of the Frisian Lake District. Our charming home, fully renovated and expanded in 2023, offers the perfect blend of modern comfort and authentic charm. Set in an idyllic little park with about 40 cottages from the 1970s, it feels like you’re completely away from the world. The villa sleeps 7–8 people and features 3 double bedrooms, 1 set of bunk beds, and 2 bathrooms with spacious walk-in showers, a bathtub, and a separate toilet. The open kitchen is fully equipped with all modern amenities and adjoins the cozy living room, which features an inviting seating island, a large dining table for ten people, and a charming wood stove. Through the French doors, you step directly onto the terrace, where you can enjoy a barbecue in the evening while taking in a breathtaking sunset. On the upper floor, there is a second living room with panoramic views of the lake and the boats in the harbor.

The garden consists of a large lawn and borders directly on a private dock with its own mooring. From here, you can head straight out onto the water to go boating, stand-up paddleboarding, surfing, or swimming. Thanks to its location on open water, you can enjoy beautiful trips across the Frisian lakes and canals. Heeg, Workum, Sneek, and Bolsward, among other places, are accessible by boat, allowing you to fully enjoy the surroundings and the water-rich landscape. Here you can enjoy peace, space, and nature, right on the water of the Oudegaester Brekken. Rent a small boat and discover the idyllic waterways; paddle across the quiet lake in the morning on our SUP, or practice your balance on a surfboard, with curious cows watching from the shore. Oudega (or Aldegea in Frisian) is a hidden gem with historic cottages, a charming little harbor, two restaurants, and a village shop full of local products. It’s the kind of place where time seems to have stood still a bit, and where you can instantly relax and recharge.
