Set across 13.5 hectares in the hills near Caldas de Monchique, Quinta do Medronhal is a family home shaped by the people who have lived here, the traditions of the Serra and the landscape that surrounds it. It is a place offering stunning mountain views, spectacular sunrises and a peaceful atmosphere filled with birdsong and natural beauty. Ideal place for people who appreciate the nature and peace, enjoy hiking, cycling or simply want to relax and connect with the nature. The house has three bedrooms and comfortably sleeps up to eight, though a family of six is the ideal fit. It’s a perfect place for hosting guests and multi-generational family fun, from the pool terrace and sauna to the fireplace-warmed living room.

Nature and surroundings

We are caring for the Quinta as both a home and a long-term project—preserving its remarkable history, renewing land affected by the 2018 Monchique wildfire and continuing its connection with medronho, the fruit and spirit from which it takes its name.
