Two private hillside yurts rented together for up to six guests, set within a secluded valley in the Western Algarve. The property is surrounded by eucalyptus forest, informal walking routes and a variety of birdlife, insects and small reptiles. During winter and early spring, a seasonal river flows through sections of the land after rainfall, adding to the natural character of the valley. The yurts have private outdoor areas, compost toilets, enclosed hot showers, Wi-Fi and a fireplace for cooler months. The property is off-grid and powered by solar energy. Guests also have year-round access to the swimming pool, shared only with guests from our separate onsite guest house when occupied. Beaches, restaurants and local shops are around 15 minutes away by car, while Lagos and Portimão are both approximately 30 minutes away. This gives guests a private countryside setting with easy access to the coast and the wider Western Algarve.
Nature and surroundings
The yurts sit in a quiet valley in the Western Algarve, surrounded by eucalyptus forest, open land and the sounds of nature. I’m Austin, and I live here on the property, spending much of my time caring for the land and the spaces around it. Mornings are calm, birds are active in the trees, and there are informal paths through the forest where you can walk and explore. You may also see butterflies, insects and small reptiles around the land. In winter and early spring, rainfall brings a natural river through parts of the property. When it is flowing, there are several places where you can sit close to the water and enjoy the sound of the valley. The setting feels private and peaceful, with space to walk, read, sit outside or slow the pace down. Beaches are about 15 minutes by car, while Lagos and Portimão are about 30 minutes away.
