A unique overnight stay in a former pumping station dating from 1901. Welcome to our charming and spacious nature house, where history, comfort, and nature come together. Here you can enjoy peace, space, and a beautiful, unobstructed view of the countryside. The house sits on a generous lot of no less than 4,000 m², with plenty of space surrounding the property. From the back, you’ll enjoy sweeping views of the Groningen countryside. Our cat, Olga, is part of the family and looks forward to welcoming you. Inside, the house exudes atmosphere and character. The bright kitchen with high ceilings is a delightful place to cook at your leisure. The kitchen is fully equipped and includes an oven, dishwasher, refrigerator, coffee maker, and toaster. After a day spent in nature, you can relax in the luxurious bathroom with a bathtub. In the cozy living room, the wood stove provides extra warmth and a cozy atmosphere.
Nature and surroundings
From the property, you can easily walk out into the surrounding countryside, and with two bicycles available, you can explore the area at your leisure. Just three minutes away is the Reiderwolde nature reserve, a beautiful spot for walking and enjoying Groningen’s natural beauty. The Beersterplas is also just around the corner. The Wadden Sea is surprisingly close by. Hop on a bike and follow the quiet roads through the Groningen countryside toward the coast. Along the way, you’ll enjoy sweeping views, open spaces, and the area’s unique tranquility. A lovely destination is the Kiekkaaste, a special spot on the edge of the Dollard where you can look out over the sea. For your daily groceries, there’s a supermarket in the village, so you have everything within easy reach. Whether you’re coming to take long walks, go biking, read by the wood stove, or simply enjoy the peace and quiet: this special house offers everything you need for a relaxing stay surrounded by nature.
