Casale Rancaglia is a farming family that welcomes guests: a stone farmhouse on our 59-hectare organic farm, certified by ICEA since 2023, on the border between Gubbio and Gualdo Tadino, in Umbria. Lupo is a 50-square-meter apartment on the first floor: a kitchen-living room with a fireplace, a bedroom with a double bed and a TV, and a private bathroom. A single bed can be added in the kitchen. Accommodates two people, up to three. The fireplace is ready upon arrival, with firewood provided. Breakfast is included and served in our dining room. Dinner is served there every evening between 7:30 and 8:00 p.m., by reservation: Rosa makes pasta and bread from our own grain. In the morning, Rosa offers a cooking class upon request. We run the house ourselves—Andrea, Claudia, Rosa, and Francesco—and we’re always home. The pool is open from May 15 to September 30. Pets are welcome at no extra charge.
Nature and surroundings
The farm is located in the open countryside, between our fields and 37 hectares of forest. We grow emmer wheat, Senatore Cappelli durum wheat, soft wheat, and lentils. From the farm, you can see Gubbio in the distance. You’ll need a car: the last 300 meters are on a dirt road. The centers of Gubbio and Gualdo Tadino are 15 minutes away, and the nearest restaurant and store are 10 minutes away. Perugia is 30 minutes away, and Assisi is 45 minutes away. Nearby is the Monte Cucco Regional Park, featuring hiking trails and a cave. Search for “Casale Rancaglia” on Google Maps, not the address—that sometimes leads to the wrong location. Tourist tax: 2 euros per person per night, only for the first 4 nights; children under 12 are exempt; payable on site.

Free cancellation within 7 days of your booking confirmation, provided the booking request was made more than 28 days before the start date. For bookings starting within 28 days, free cancellation applies within 24 hours. If you cancel within the specified period, you are entitled to a full refund of the booking amount.
After that, you will receive a partial refund of the trip cost and a 100% refund of the deposit:
• Up to 42 days before arrival: 70% refund
• 42–28 days before arrival: 40% refund
• 28 days through the day of arrival: 10% refund
• On the day of arrival or later: no refund

- No parties or events are allowed.
- This nature house is not suitable for groups of young people, students and sports teams.
