Nature house in Epe

A little getaway where you’ll feel right at home. The cottage accommodates 1 or 2 people and offers an oasis of peace and space. Enjoy some “dolce far niente” in the garden with a hammock, lounge beds, and benches, or inside with a blanket and a book on the couch; make a cappuccino in the kitchen and watch the birds in the garden through binoculars. The luxurious electric box-spring bed is made up and ready for you, and the bathroom features a wonderful soaking tub. Here, it’s all about relaxing and enjoying yourself! You can go for endless walks and bike rides, spot wildlife, or book a day of wellness at the Veluwse Bron resort. Spend a day in Hattem or visit Paleis het Loo, enjoy a nice meal out, or have a quiet evening cooking and watching a series on the couch. There’s plenty to do, but nothing is mandatory—whether you’re coming alone, as a couple, with your sister, or with your dog, you’re warmly welcome.

This nature house is nestled in the heart of the Veluwe’s beautiful natural landscape: you can step right out of the house and into the woods. There are plenty of hiking and biking trails throughout the area, making it easy to take short or longer trips. You’ll find Landgoed Tongeren, the Wisselse Veen, the Tongerense Beek, and Kroondomein het Loo. For a nearby walk, the boardwalk at the Tongeren Estate is highly recommended! There are no fewer than three swimming lakes in the area: Kievitsveld, Heerderstrand, and Zandenplas—all within walking or biking distance, with routes through dense forests and heathlands. Dogs are allowed at all three from October 1 through May 1. Go on an adventure and book a wildlife scavenger hunt with nature guide Jan Niebeek, or go wildlife spotting with the forest ranger at De Dellen, a nature reserve just a 10-minute drive away. You can also take an evening walk on your own to a wildlife viewing platform (don’t forget your binoculars!), such as the ‘t Eperholt viewing platform, where you might spot red deer and wild boars roaming about!
