Nature house in Besse

"Dans le bruit du silence" This nature house is an old tobacco barn that has been converted into a luxurious, modern, yet perfectly in-keeping-with-the-style, single-story loft for two, with a view of the valley. It has been tastefully furnished with an eye for detail. The approximately 50 m² space features a bedroom separated from the living room with an open kitchen by a low partition wall. The living room features an easy-to-use pellet stove for cold days and an air conditioner for warmer days. A separate room houses a modern, spacious walk-in shower and toilet. A large sliding glass door leads to a private terrace. There are even more charming spots on the property, which you’ll share with Gerry and Harriët, and with the guests of a second cottage for two people. Things to know: * We rent from Saturday to Saturday, except from November through March. * If you stay longer than a week, fresh bedding and linens are provided weekly. * The bed is made upon arrival. * The house is clean.

“Dans le bruit du silence”—we say that for a reason. The first thing you notice when you arrive here is the silence. The house is nestled in the heart of nature, far from the hustle and bustle. And yet, within easy reach, you’ll find charming, authentic villages, castles, prehistoric caves, rivers, wine châteaux, art, markets, and restaurants that make the Dordogne and the Lot so special. From the house, you can head straight out into nature for a short or long walk, or unwind by the pool with the most beautiful view, have a barbecue at the picnic table with a glass of fine French wine, enjoy the sunset, read a book in a quiet spot, or even write one yourself. When the moon is at its lowest point, it’s truly dark here. It’s the perfect spot to lie on a lounge chair and gaze at the starry sky and the Milky Way. If you’re in the mood, you can take a yoga class (yin) with Harriët, or practice on your own on a wooden platform in the woods. The nature house is perfect for two people or a solo getaway.
