A cozy, detached cottage with a view of the Frisian countryside, near the Lauwersmeer area. You’ll find us in a beautiful rural setting—the perfect place to unwind! Whether you’re looking for freedom and privacy, a vacation, or a business stay, you’ve come to the right place. Our guesthouse is located just outside Kollum, in a very central spot. A supermarket, bakery, butcher, and shops can all be found in downtown Kollum, about a 5-minute bike ride away. Whether by bike, on foot, or by car, everything is easily accessible. There’s also a bus stop just a short walk away. The train station in Buitenpost offers service to destinations such as Leeuwarden and Groningen. Fancy a day trip to Schiermonnikoog? That’s easy too—the port of Lauwersoog, where you catch the ferry, is about a 20-minute drive away. Dokkum is a 15-minute drive away. Groningen and Leeuwarden are 30 minutes away by car. We’re happy to give you tips on great day trips in the area!
Nature and surroundings
Our guesthouse, Pake's Hiem, accommodates 2 people. It is a detached cottage with its own entrance and plenty of privacy, surrounded by greenery. The garden and terrace by the guesthouse—complete with lounge furniture and a view of the countryside—are entirely at guests’ disposal and are not shared. Upon request, guests may use the fire pit and/or the BBQ. Inside, the guesthouse is cozily and warmly furnished and equipped with all modern conveniences. It consists of a living room with an open kitchen, bathed in natural light through the windows. The bathroom and bedroom (with a double bed) are separate rooms within the guesthouse, all on one level. In the summer, the guesthouse stays pleasantly cool, and in the winter, the stove is naturally turned on. Every season has its own charm here. Coffee and tea, shampoo, kitchen linens, towels, and bedding (beds made upon arrival) are included.

Free cancellation within 7 days of your booking confirmation, provided the booking request was made more than 28 days before the start date. For bookings starting within 28 days, free cancellation applies within 24 hours. If you cancel within the specified period, you are entitled to a full refund of the booking amount.
After that, you will receive a partial refund of the trip cost and a 100% refund of the deposit:
• Up to 42 days before arrival: 70% refund
• 42–28 days before arrival: 40% refund
• 28 days through the day of arrival: 10% refund
• On the day of arrival or later: no refund

- No parties or events are allowed.
- This nature house is not suitable for groups of young people, students and sports teams.
- Waste separation is mandatory in this nature house.
