Planning a fall getaway? Our bed and breakfast is a wonderful place to stay, set in a peaceful, rural setting—even in the fall and winter. The “Erfzicht” room has two single beds that can be pushed together to form a double bed. A third bed can also be added. The “Dijkzicht” room has a bunk bed, plus a trundle bed that lets us quickly create a spacious double bed for you. This makes the rooms ideal for families—or for two couples. The rooms are next to each other in our self-built farmhouse. Each room has its own mini-fridge, Senseo coffee maker, and a private table for breakfast. For breakfast, you can enjoy homemade yogurt or freshly baked warm bread. Sometimes we also bake a delicious cake on the weekends. In the summer, the garden is a lovely spot to have breakfast. Nature and surroundings
Biking and hiking trails run past our house and farmland. The surrounding area features beautiful nature reserves and hiking trails, with many creeks along which hiking paths run. In nearby Axel, there are several museums dedicated to the history of the area. You can visit a water tower, and there are several windmills in the vicinity that are regularly in operation. There are also beautiful bike routes along sea locks and old forts in Zeeuws-Vlaanderen. The beautiful old fortified town of Hulst is a short distance away. Axel is within walking distance if you enjoy walking. Terneuzen is also nearby. There are lovely little villages and hamlets such as Schapenbout, Spui, and Zaamslag. Just across the border, you can visit the beautiful cities of Ghent, Bruges, and Antwerp—all within a half-hour drive. For children, just across the border is the Puyenbroeck Provincial Property, featuring an extensive walking trail with animals, a flower garden, and museums. Of course, there’s much more to discover in the area!

Free cancellation within 7 days of your booking confirmation, provided the booking request was made more than 28 days before the start date. For bookings starting within 28 days, free cancellation applies within 24 hours. If you cancel within the specified period, you are entitled to a full refund of the booking amount.
After that, you will receive a partial refund of the trip cost and a 100% refund of the deposit:
• Up to 42 days before arrival: 70% refund
• 42–28 days before arrival: 40% refund
• 28 days through the day of arrival: 10% refund
• On the day of arrival or later: no refund
A deposit of €50.00 applies. You will be refunded after check-out.
- Out of respect for nature: silence between 10:00 PM and 6:00 AM.
- Minimum age of main booker: 18 years.
- Smoking is not allowed in this nature house.
- No fireworks are allowed at this Nature House.
- No parties or events are allowed.
- This nature house is not suitable for groups of young people, students and sports teams.
- Waste separation is mandatory in this nature house.
