This nature house is a charming vacation home nestled in the peaceful countryside of Småland, surrounded by forests, meadows, and plenty of open space. Here, you’ll wake up to the sounds of birds, step right out into nature, and have a good chance of encountering moose, roe deer, cranes, or other Swedish wildlife along the way. The cottage accommodates up to 6 people. It features a spacious living room, a fully equipped kitchen, three bedrooms, a bathroom, and a large garden. It has fiber-optic Wi-Fi, heating, and a wood stove. The cottage is largely on one level and is also suitable for guests with limited mobility. The house is surrounded by approximately 3.7 hectares of private natural land featuring woods, meadows, and plenty of space to enjoy the peace and quiet. From the house, you can walk right into the Swedish wilderness, home to moose, roe deer, and many species of birds. For daily groceries and basic amenities, head to Bor. Värnamo is a half-hour drive away and offers larger supermarkets, shops, and restaurants.
Nature and surroundings
This cottage is nestled in the heart of Småland’s lush countryside, near the tranquil little lake Älgarydssjön. The surrounding area features vast forests, small lakes, open fields, and quiet country roads perfect for walking and biking. Moens Naturskog, a unique nature reserve with ancient forests and a rich variety of flora and fauna, is also just a short distance away. Nature literally begins right at your doorstep here. The forests are home to moose and deer, and also to badgers, foxes, hares, and countless bird species. With a little luck, you might spot one of these wild inhabitants during an early morning walk or as evening falls. Thanks to the peace, space, and minimal traffic, you can experience the true Swedish outdoor life here: swimming or fishing at the lake, hiking through the woods, and enjoying the silence and a clear starry sky in the evening.
