Let yourself be charmed by our lovely suite at Le Colombier Vert in the Yonne—plenty of space (59 m²) all to yourself. A window, a garden—that’s how every morning begins in this 17th-century suite. The 42 m² bedroom, crowned by a spectacular original half-star-shaped roof truss, features a king-size bed. The furniture, some of which we found at a flea market in Joigny that we love, tells a story that wasn’t originally ours: fewer mass-produced items, more pieces that have already lived a life of their own. The suite extends into a 17 m² living room/office and a light-filled bathroom with a large walk-in shower. Breakfast is not included or served. However, you’ll find basic supplies—coffee, tea, and herbal tea from the garden—to start your day. A small mini-fridge is available for your personal items. *BONUS: It can also be rented together with our vacation rental (“Nid douillet”) so you can host your loved ones while everyone stays in their own space.
Nature and surroundings
Le Colombier Vert is a vibrant place dedicated to medicinal plants and ecology, ideal for a nature getaway in the heart of the Burgundy countryside and a great starting point for bike rides. This former royal farm consists of a dovecote, barns, unique meeting rooms, a small guesthouse, and gardens, all spread across 4 hectares. My husband, Régis, and I, Véronique, have led the restoration of this historic property, built during the reign of Louis XIV, over the course of fifteen years of patient work, using eco-friendly methods: natural materials and bio-based insulation. The herb garden is the first thing you’ll encounter: cultivated naturally, it features thyme, lemon balm, agastache, and about a hundred other plants that I’ve been growing and teaching about for years. Each season offers a different atmosphere, from spring blooms to the scents of summer, all the way to the garden’s winter slumber. Less than 2 hours from Paris, in a small, quiet village in Burgundy, 10 minutes from Joigny.

Free cancellation within 7 days of your booking confirmation, provided the booking request was made more than 28 days before the start date. For bookings starting within 28 days, free cancellation applies within 24 hours. If you cancel within the specified period, you are entitled to a full refund of the booking amount.
After that, you will receive a partial refund of the trip cost and a 100% refund of the deposit:
• Up to 42 days before arrival: 70% refund
• 42–28 days before arrival: 40% refund
• 28 days through the day of arrival: 10% refund
• On the day of arrival or later: no refund
- Out of respect for nature: silence between 10:00 PM and 9:00 AM.
- Minimum age of main booker: 18 years.
- Smoking is not allowed in this nature house.
- No fireworks are allowed at this Nature House.
- No parties or events are allowed.
- This nature house is not suitable for groups of young people, students and sports teams.
- Waste separation is mandatory in this nature house.
