Nature house in Frankenau

Welcome to our cozy wooden vacation home! Our house is comfortable and fully furnished, featuring a wood stove, air conditioning, a fully equipped kitchen, a sauna, and a spacious walk-in shower. With two cozy bedrooms, there’s room for up to five people. Pets are also welcome. A wooden house is a living structure. The wood continues to expand and contract, so you may hear the house “speak” from time to time. After construction, the house continues to settle and will shrink by a total of about 15 centimeters. That’s precisely what makes building a real wooden house so special and challenging. Did you know that living in a wooden house is considered pleasant and healthy? Wood naturally creates a comfortable indoor climate and a warm, cozy atmosphere. The house has a spacious terrace and borders a small patch of woods at the back, where you can fully enjoy the peace and nature. Be sure to take a look at the starry sky. Around midnight, the park lights turn off, resulting in virtually no light pollution.

The house is located on the outskirts of the Feriendorf and borders the forest of the Kellerwald-Edersee National Park. A place where peace and nature take center stage. Located on the edge of the Sauerland (southeast) in Hesse. The park is situated outside the village of Frankenau on a hillside; it is spacious yet intimate. From the cottage, you can hike in virtually any direction—through forests, over hills, across meadows, and along small rivers. In winter, there are also several skiing options nearby, a 20- to 45-minute drive away. The Edersee, with its dam (large reservoir), and Waldeck Castle, offering stunning views of the Edersee, the hills, and the mountains. You can also hike there from the cottage (12 km) and take the bus back, for example. There are also several charming towns where you can admire half-timbered houses and castles. Marburg, a half-timbered town with a castle and a lively student scene. Bad Wildungen, a spa town with many restaurants and half-timbered houses. But nature takes center stage in every season. This nature house is located in a scenic and peaceful setting.
