We are Gerard and Gerda, and together with our dog Kate and our horses, we’ve been living in this beautiful spot nestled among the meadows for years. We live in the house next to the B&B, which we opened in the summer of 2026. If you’re looking for a rural location for up to 6 people—yet still close to all amenities—for an overnight stay, Gastenverblijf Bij Ons Achteraf is the ideal spot. It has its own entrance and three bedrooms that share a bathroom. We therefore prefer small groups of 4 to 6 people per booking; the price is based on this.

Nature and surroundings

The Guest House is located between bike junction points 2 and 3, making it a great starting point for a route toward the Hanseatic city of Doesburg and Bronkhorst, or a route through the beautiful Montferland region The centers of Didam and Zevenaar, with a wide selection of restaurants and shops, are also within cycling distance. The pick-up point for Juffrouw Tok of De Jong Intra Vacations and Oad Travel is also within walking distance of the B&B.

The house was spotless, and there was plenty of parking. The hosts had some helpful tips about the area and a list of beautiful bike routes.

The cottage was perfect in every way. It was wonderfully spacious, fully furnished, and had a gorgeous bathroom. The hosts were very friendly and thoughtful. And the breakfast was excellent.
