This cozy Tiniehouse is nestled amid our fruit orchard at our small-scale horse farm (a national historic landmark dating from 1855). It offers a beautiful, unobstructed view of the countryside with grazing herds of horses, sheep, and cows. Fully equipped despite its small size: A comfortable 2-person sleeper sofa with a mattress topper. Table + chairs, kitchenette: 2-burner induction cooktop, microwave, coffee maker, and electric kettle. The toilet is located in the barn, 25 meters away. You can wash up with hot water (5-liter boiler) and there are 2 shower bags for outdoor showers. Nearby animals: horses, dogs, cats, and chickens. There is no indoor shower available. Outdoor showering is possible using a shower bag (please bring a bikini), and there is hot running water in the Tiny House (5-liter water heater).

Our Tiniehouse is nestled in a charming fruit orchard on the outskirts of the quiet village of Hitzum, where nature, open space, and tranquility come together. This place has its own charm in every season. In the spring, the fruit trees are covered in white and pink blossoms, while summer invites you to enjoy long evenings surrounded by greenery. In the fall, the trees are laden with fruit, and in the winter, you can experience the tranquility of the open Frisian landscape. From the orchard, you can easily walk or bike past vast meadows, winding dikes, and characteristic mound villages. The historic Eleven Cities town of Franeker is just a short distance away, as is the Wadden Sea, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where you can get some fresh air, go birdwatching, or experience the unique natural surroundings. Whether you’re coming to actively explore the area or simply want to unwind completely, Hitzum offers the perfect balance between nature and culture!
