Our beautiful, newly furnished chalet is equipped with every luxury, including a kitchen with a refrigerator, dishwasher, oven, and gas stove, as well as air conditioning, central heating, a TV, a luxurious bathroom, and a luxurious restroom. Of course, Wi-Fi is available. Outside, you’ll find a spacious garden with a patio and a private parking spot. The chalet is located on the edge of our quiet RV park, adjacent to a nature reserve. Your stay also includes the use of two bicycles. We have one bedroom and, if needed, a comfortable sleeper sofa in the living room. From the chalet, you can easily reach Sauna de Zwaluwhoeve. A 15-minute bike ride takes you to the historic Hanseatic city of Harderwijk, which features a spacious, charming downtown with plenty of shops and countless restaurants. The old harbor and city center offer beautiful views. In the summer, there are plenty of activities in and around Harderwijk. You can rent boats to explore the lakes or surfboards for surfing or stand-up paddleboarding. Discover the other nostalgic villages around Hierden.
Nature and surroundings
Hierden is the gateway to the Veluwe—the largest contiguous nature reserve in the Netherlands. It’s just a 5-minute bike ride to the forest, where you’ll immediately come upon a large sand drift. Using our junction map, you can plan the most beautiful routes along stunning paved bike paths. There are several visitor centers in the area where you can find all kinds of information about nature. Are you more of a beachgoer? Within a few minutes, you’ll reach the Wolderwijd—part of Lake Veluwe. Charming little beaches with reed beds and plenty of birds line the edge of the shallow water, making it a great place to relax. And don’t forget: in the center of Harderwijk, the beach and the harbor are right on the boulevard. Don’t forget to enjoy some delicious fresh fish. You can easily cross over to the polder via a few charming bicycle ferries, where you’ll cycle back to the chalet along the water. Hierden and Harderwijk offer a nature experience you’ll find in few other places in the Netherlands.

Free cancellation within 7 days of your booking confirmation, provided the booking request was made more than 28 days before the start date. For bookings starting within 28 days, free cancellation applies within 24 hours. If you cancel within the specified period, you are entitled to a full refund of the booking amount.
After that, you will receive a partial refund of the trip cost and a 100% refund of the deposit:
• Up to 42 days before arrival: 70% refund
• 42–28 days before arrival: 40% refund
• 28 days through the day of arrival: 10% refund
• On the day of arrival or later: no refund
- Out of respect for nature: silence between 11:00 PM and 7:00 AM.
- Minimum age of main booker: 21 years.
- Smoking is not allowed in this nature house.
- No fireworks are allowed at this Nature House.
- No parties or events are allowed.
- This nature house is not suitable for groups of young people, students and sports teams.
- Waste separation is mandatory in this nature house.
