Since this summer, we—Mark, Cathleen, our dog Coco, and our cat Sjaak—have been living in France, on one of the lovely hills of the Brionnais region, next to the charming village of Saint Julien de Civry. Here in southern Burgundy lies this nature house, our new home. It’s an old farmhouse, with a lovely, fully equipped vacation home in the outbuilding. The loft features two double box-bed-style bedrooms and a bathroom. Two spacious 45 m² bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, are located in the main house. The living area and kitchen are large, about 90 m². So, the total area is about 180 m². In the kitchen, you’ll find a large dining table, a 3-burner induction cooktop, an electric oven, a refrigerator with a freezer, and a dishwasher. Through the garden doors, you’ll step into the spacious garden with various seating areas. There you’ll also find the (saltwater) pool. Pets are allowed only by prior arrangement. We have a dog, a cat, and chickens that roam freely on the property.
Nature and surroundings
The Charolais-Brionnais region is known for its rolling, patchwork landscape dotted with cows, named after the Charolais breed (or vice versa). In the surrounding area, you’ll find castles and can enjoy the scenery and the fresh air. There are various hiking and biking trails, restaurants, and other attractions to explore. We’re located in the triangle formed by Charolles, Paray-le-Monial, and La Clayette—three charming French towns. A little further away is Marcigny, with its lovely market, or Cluny, home to its famous abbey. Lyon is an hour’s drive away, as are Mâcon and Chalon-sur-Saône.

Free cancellation within 24 hours of your booking confirmation.
If you cancel within the specified period, you are entitled to a full refund of the booking amount. After that, you will receive a partial refund of the trip cost and a 100% refund of the deposit:
• up to 42 days before arrival: 70% refunded
• 42–28 days before arrival: 40% refunded
• 28 days through the day of arrival: 10% refunded
• on the day of arrival or later: no refund
A deposit of €400.00 applies. You will be refunded after check-out.

- No parties or events are allowed.
