Our home in Italy. In this unique corner of Italy, you can enjoy “Dolce Far Niente” at this beautiful spot on one of the foothills of the Alps in the Po Valley in Piedmont. A place to truly unwind, have a coffee, and enjoy the friendly people and the beautiful surroundings. The property consists of two connected houses. There are three bedrooms, two of which are connected by a staircase. There are two living rooms, a sunroom with a dining table, and several terraces for relaxing outdoors. The bathroom has a shower and toilet, and the spacious kitchen is fully equipped. There’s a large fenced-in garden where a dog can roam freely, you can relax in the hammock, and there’s parking for several cars. Upon arrival, bed linens, kitchen linens, and towels will be provided. Would you like to enjoy Piedmontese hospitality, delicious food at affordable prices, and the peace and beauty of the surroundings this summer? Then this is your chance.
Nature and surroundings
During the day, you can hear birds such as the woodpecker, the raven, or the gray bunting. And at night, fireflies dance through the garden, and you can hear owls and wild boars. Our house in Gambasca (CN) is just under 1,200 km from Utrecht, an hour south of Turin. The neighboring village of Sanfront is just 7 minutes away and features two supermarkets, a bakery, and various cafes and restaurants. A golf course is 15 minutes away, and 25 minutes away is a beautiful little town with fast chargers for electric vehicle drivers. Within an hour’s drive, you’ll find wine regions like Barolo, but mountain lovers in particular will find their way to Monviso, with beautiful hikes to the source of the Po River and multi-day treks to France and back, plenty of cycling and mountain biking opportunities, as well as paragliding and rafting. In July and August, there are markets and village festivals everywhere where you can mingle with the Italians and enjoy fresh fruit and cheese from the region. Visit this region and you’ll fall in love with it.
