Pet-friendly house with a large garden, terraces, a barbecue, and a bocce court. Located on the edge of the forest, this former sheepfold (early 19th century) offers a magnificent view of the valley. The house itself is comfortable, authentic, and stylishly furnished. It features 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, accommodating up to 6 people, making it ideal for families or groups of friends. Behind the house, you’ll find a large bocce court. There is a beautiful, fenced-in garden of 2,500 m² with several terraces where you can relax. Upon request, the gardener will come by to tend the garden. The caretaker of this cottage lives 500 meters away. You can arrange your arrival and departure times with him.
Nature and surroundings
This vacation home is located in the heart of Burgundy’s major wine regions (including the Côte d’Or, the Mâconnais, and the Beaujolais). It’s close to medieval towns such as Cluny, Cormatin, Mâcon, and—further north—Autun and Beaune. Lyon is 70 km away. Taizé is just a 10-minute drive. About 3 km from the house is an old watermill (Le moulin d’Angoin) with a small “beach” and flowing water, where you can enjoy a swim. This cottage is an 8-hour drive from Utrecht. The vacation home is located a few kilometers from the village of Salornay-sur-Guye, which has a weekly (Thursday) market, a small supermarket, a bakery, a butcher shop, a pharmacy, a café, and a pizzeria. Cluny, known for its former abbey, is 12 kilometers away. Cluny has large supermarkets, shops, bistros, outdoor cafés, banks, and a Saturday market. Behind this cottage, you can walk straight into the forest and enjoy a variety of lovely hikes. There are also beautiful cycling routes in the area.
