Our vacation home was built in 1926 and has everything you’d expect from a charming Swedish cottage. The house is located on the edge of the forest, overlooking a beautiful, peaceful valley. Although there are two neighboring houses (about 100 meters away), it’s wonderfully peaceful, and you can fully enjoy nature. We’d like to share the house on a small scale with nature lovers, active vacationers, and people seeking tranquility. Since we have two young children ourselves, the house is fully equipped for a family vacation. The open bedroom has a double bed (180x200 cm), and the separate bedroom has two single beds (90x200 cm) and a crib (60x120 cm). The garden features a sandbox and a playground set with a slide and swing(s). The house has already been largely renovated, both inside and out, in recent years. The kitchen and bathroom have been completely redone, and the entire interior has been updated: a vacation surrounded by nature with all the comforts of home!
Nature and surroundings
Our house is located in a quiet valley near the town of Ryssby (6 km). Ryssby has a supermarket for basic groceries, a hotel-restaurant for lunch, and a playground, mini-golf course, and padel court on the shores of the fairly large Lake Ryssbysjön. There’s also a small swimming spot in Ryssby, but for the truly beautiful swimming spots, there are plenty of other lakes within a 15- to 30-minute drive. The immediate surroundings of the house are perfect for hiking, biking, and running. Within a short drive, there are several nature reserves with hiking trails, charming towns and cities (Ljungby, Växjö, Värnamo), and cozy spots for lunch. Don’t forget that there are two national parks nearby: Store Mosse National Park near Värnamo and Åsnen National Park near Växjö. Too beautiful to miss! The IKEA Museum in Älmhult is also worth a visit on a rainy day. In short, a house in a beautiful, peaceful spot surrounded by nature. The region also has much more to offer—for those who want to explore further.

Free cancellation within 7 days of your booking confirmation, provided the booking request was made more than 28 days before the start date. For bookings starting within 28 days, free cancellation applies within 24 hours. If you cancel within the specified period, you are entitled to a full refund of the booking amount.
After that, you will receive a partial refund of the trip cost and a 100% refund of the deposit:
• Up to 42 days before arrival: 70% refund
• 42–28 days before arrival: 40% refund
• 28 days through the day of arrival: 10% refund
• On the day of arrival or later: no refund
A deposit of €200.00 applies. You will be refunded after check-out.
- Out of respect for nature: silence between 7:00 AM and 10:00 PM.
- Minimum age of main booker: 18 years.
- Smoking is not allowed in this nature house.
- No fireworks are allowed at this Nature House.
- No parties or events are allowed.
- This nature house is not suitable for groups of young people, students and sports teams.
- Waste separation is mandatory in this nature house.
