A unique retro bungalow in the Veluwe, offering tranquility, space, and character. Located on the southwest side of the Veluwe, this detached bungalow sits on a lot of nearly 1 hectare, surrounded by trees and offering plenty of privacy. The house, renovated in the 1970s and recently lovingly restored, combines a retro style with modern comfort. Furnished with vintage pieces, the house is both comfortable and sustainable, featuring good insulation and solar panels. It is a spacious, single-story home with a well-equipped kitchen (four-burner gas stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, and a freestanding oven in the pantry). The living room features several seating areas, a fireplace, and a large dining table. There are five bedrooms: four with double beds and one with two queen-size beds (please note: the fourth double bedroom is accessible only through this room). There are also two bathrooms (one of which includes a toilet) and an additional separate toilet. All beds are made up with double-sized duvets; the twin beds have single-sized duvets.
Nature and surroundings
The property is fully fenced and features a large wooded garden and a landscaped garden with a deep pond, several terraces, plenty of outdoor furniture, and two fire pits. In the summer, there’s a 4-by-2-meter swimming pool to cool off in. The covered porch offers shelter and a cozy atmosphere, even when the weather is a bit cooler. From the house, you can step right into nature: it’s the ideal base for both hikes and bike rides in the surrounding Veluwe. Wageningen is a lively college town. Explore the charming thrift shops, the brewery, or visit the Het Depot sculpture museum, which is free to enter. You’ll also find two movie theaters, a theater, and several arboreta with rare trees. There are various restaurants and cozy cafés in the area. Popular attractions include the open-air museum in Arnhem, the Kröller-Müller Museum, Doorwerth Castle, the Walled Garden, and Ouwehands Zoo. In May, Liberation Day is celebrated extensively.
