Nature and surroundings

From our nature house, you step right into nature—or, for kids, the play forest. Hiking and biking trails, and mountain biking trails, start right outside the door and take you past forests, heathlands, meadows, and characteristic Scholten farms. Beautiful nature reserves such as the Korenburgerveen, Bekendelle, the Wooldse Veen, and the Trimbos are just a short distance away. It’s no coincidence that Winterswijk has been designated a National Landscape; it’s a beloved destination for nature lovers and those seeking peace and quiet. The impressive quarry is also worth a visit. The charming center of Winterswijk is just a five-minute drive away and offers a wide selection of shops, outdoor cafes, and restaurants. This makes the Boshuis the ideal base from which to explore the Achterhoek at your own pace. Please note that the number of guests listed in the reservation is also the maximum number of guests permitted to stay overnight.

Honestly, I couldn't ask for anything more than this. The only minor downside—for anyone sleeping on the loft—is that you should bring earplugs because it can get pretty noisy. But that didn't spoil the fun.
