This cute little trailer was donated by a woman who stayed here at the Genietplek for a few nights last year; she found the place so beautiful and special that she decided to give her little trailer its final resting place here so that many more people can enjoy it. The name “Wampie” had special meaning for her, which is why she chose it. It has a double bed that’s 190 cm long and 120 cm wide, so it’s quite cozy—even for taller people. Wampie is therefore ideal for people hiking or biking a trail, such as the Pieterpad, Trekvogelpad, or other beautiful routes through the eastern Netherlands. The caravan has electricity, and you can cook there; a kettle, pots, dishes, and cutlery are provided.
Nature and surroundings
The caravan is located at our Genietplek campground, within biking distance of the Hanseatic city of Zutphen and the village of Vorden, home to eight castles. The Achterhoek region also offers a wide variety of historic, cultural, and charming spots and events. If you walk from the Genietplek and follow the Fierepad, you’ll soon reach the Hackfort estate, managed by Natuurmonumenten, and the most beautiful church in Gelderland—and perhaps even in the Netherlands—the St. Willibrord Church in Vierakker. The Genietplek is located at the Den 4akker Farm Store, which offers a vast selection of local products to nourish the soul—from homegrown strawberries to snacks to enjoy with drinks, too many to list.

A cozy, very creative, and peaceful spot!

I received a warm welcome. A lovely little campground. I stayed there a bit longer than usual. It wasn’t too crowded, but it wasn’t quiet either. The owners were friendly; they’d often walk around and we’d have a nice chat. The mini-caravan was great. A wonderful spot with everything I needed.
Hartelijk ontvangen. Fijne kleine camping. Ik verbleef er wat langer dan gemiddeld. Niet al te druk, maar ook niet ongezellig. Hartelijke eigenaren, regelmatig liepen ze een rondje en maakten we een gezellig praatje. De mini caravan was prima. Heerlijk plekje met alles wat er nodig was.
