Want to go camping but don’t have the gear—or just don’t feel like lugging everything around? Then our caravan, complete with an awning and canopy, is ready for you, including two beds inside the caravan. The spacious awning features a seating area and a kitchenette, and under the canopy there’s a seating area and a picnic table. Of course, all linens for the kitchen, shower, and bed are provided, and the kitchen area is equipped with a gas stove. There’s a refrigerator in the caravan and an extra cooler in the awning. You can shower and do the dishes in the nice restroom facilities a short distance away. Our mini-campground has 6 sites, and each one offers plenty of space (up to 300 m²). The swimming pool (chlorinated) measures 10x5 and is 1.20 deep. You’re welcome to use the large garden freely—feel free to pick ripe fruit. There are also 2 nature houses on the property. On the large terrace by our house, you can grab a bite to eat, have a drink, or get an ice cream; we offer a small menu and a bread delivery service. Dogs and other pets are currently not allowed due to our own (elderly) dog.
Nature and surroundings
If you’re looking for peace and quiet, you’ve come to the right place. You can head straight into the woods from the property; there are several well-maintained trails, and who knows—you might even spot deer, wild boars, or foxes. There are countless birds, the nights are dark and starry, and the days are long and can be warm. A small supermarket and bakery are just 10 minutes away, and a Leclerc, Lidl, Intermarché, and Action are 20 minutes away. In the surrounding villages, there’s plenty to choose from, including restaurants (all within 15 minutes), castles, charming villages, canoeing opportunities, and more. A bit further away, you’ll find Angoulême, Limoges, Poitiers, and Cognac, where you can go shopping, visit museums, and more. There are also a number of ancient sites and historical places to explore. You’ll find all kinds of information about these on the property. Every summer, many activities are organized in the village and the surrounding area: walks, markets, night markets, soapbox races, pétanque tournaments, and more.
