This unique National Historic Landmark offers the perfect blend of historic charm and modern comfort. You’ll stay in the carefully restored coach house of a historic farmhouse. Where carriages once stood, you’ll now find the charming and luxurious Green Apartment for two people. On the ground floor, you’ll find a cozy sitting area, a fully equipped kitchen, and French doors leading to your private terrace. This terrace offers views of the old orchard and the farmhouse. From here, you can walk straight to your private dock on the water to enjoy the peace and quiet of nature. Upstairs is the comfortable bedroom with an adjoining bathroom. The apartment has its own entrance for optimal privacy and is equipped with air conditioning for a pleasant stay in any season. This charming retreat is the ideal spot for a romantic weekend getaway, a peaceful vacation surrounded by nature, or a special overnight stay at a unique historic location.

Our guesthouse is located in the peaceful Groningen countryside, where open spaces, nature, and history come together. Right from our doorstep, you can walk or bike through vast fields, the Hondshalstermeer, charming villages, and the beautiful Dollard region—a paradise for birdwatchers and those seeking peace and quiet. In the surrounding area, you’ll find quaint roadside and rural villages, historic farmhouses, and various nature reserves. Visit the harbor of Termunterzijl, take a walk along the Wadden Sea coast, or discover the region’s rich history in the fortified town of Bourtange, Appingedam, or the city of Groningen. Culture and heritage enthusiasts will also find plenty to enjoy. Our B&B is located on a historic property where the past and modern comfort come together.
